Electoral activities Defined
Also called electioneering, these are attempts made to influence elections. All 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from engaging in any partisan activity. However, activities that may incidentally influence the outcome of elections are permitted if carried out in a strictly nonpartisan manner. Nonpartisan voter registration drives and candidate forums designed to inform the public about election issues fall into this category. See also:Electoral College
