The Maryland Public Interest Research Group released a report recently saying a new reactor at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant would lead to higher electric costs for Maryland ratepayers. The Indian Point Independent Safety Evaluation Panel will present the findings of its study at a public session on Thursday, July 31 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt Manor. The panel was hired by Indian Point to conduct a complete safety review of the plant.
